Ageing and Basic Bioscience Conference: 20th and 21st September 2012

Babraham Institute, Babraham Research Campus, Cambridge, CB22 3AT, UK

ageing image Ageing research is driven by the need to understand how we age and to increase healthy lifespan. However, the study of ageing also reveals novel molecular, genetic and cellular mechanisms important for wider understanding of basic biology. This meeting will highlight the most exciting recent advances in ageing research. It will discuss innovative techniques and the model organisms in which they are applied, and it will consider how understanding of basic bioscience contributes to, and benefits from research into ageing.
